If you’d rather be able to see more of the iPhone 6 Plus or iPhone 6s Plus’ original design, but still want tough protection for your phone, we like the Case-Mate Tough Naked. The design may be minimal, but the protection is not. A rubber bumper protects the edges of your iPhone and raises the screen from flat surface, while a hard scratch-proof shell clips on to the rear. Metal button accents give it a premium look. In a similar vein comes this Spigen Neo Hybrid Metal case for iPhone 6 Plus and iPhone 6s Plus. It too has a soft inner shell, here with a texturised rear to aid grip, and a bumper that clips on to the edge of the iPhone for extra protection. This bumper is made from dia-cut aluminium, hence the name, allowing this case to be ultra-tough and yet remain slim. A circular cutout in the rear allows the Apple logo to gleam through. In the UK, it’s available for the 6 Plus from My Trendy Phone, where you can find it for £18.10. Or you can get it directly from Spigen. The 6S Plus version is available in the US from Spigen for $29.99, as is the 6 Plus (US$29.99). It’s a little bulkier than Tech21 would have you believe, but if you want protection it’s a price you have to pay. If you like the idea of the previous case in our round-up, but aren’t sold on the wireless charging aspect, you can also grab a FlexiShield gel case without the Qi tech built-in. We tried the Ultra-thin clear model and the smoke black gel case. These cases are slightly different – the clear model is thinner and even more flexible, with a textured interior, while the smoke black case feels a little tougher and smoother, although its slightly tacky finish aids grip. Both offer complete protection for your iPhone 6 Plus or iPhone 6s Plus, with a raised lip lifting the iPhone’s screen away from flat surfaces, and cutouts in place for all the iPhone’s ports and connections. Also available for the 6S Plus from Mobile Fun ( £7.99/ $9.49). If you’re here, then you don’t need us to tell you that the iPhone 6 Plus and 6s Plus are big phones. What you might need to know is that if you go for this case, you gain even more bulk. However, you do gain a whole lot more than that. Mophie is known for its battery cases, and this one can top up your Plus by 70%, which is great when you’re on the go and away from a plug. This case also is fully waterproof, which speaks for itself. If you like the idea of phone cases that charge your iPhone, check out our dedicated round up of best battery cases for the iPhone 6 range. With an outer shell of kevlar, not much is going to get past it with a lightweight but really tough design. You can expect scratch-resistance and protection that’s five times stronger than steel of its same weight. Keep in mind, this case only protects the front of your phone. For frontal protection, you may want to pair it with a screen protector.  You can see more options from Evutec for the iPhone 6 range here. Apple has made a leather and silicone case for the iPhone 6 Plus, and the silicone version is cheaper of the two. The silicone case costs £39/$39 and comes in Charcoal Grey (pictured), White, Midnight Blue and in a (Product)RED version as well if you’re after red. The leather cases costs £49/ $49 in comparison. If you think you want to buy one of Apple’s own cases, our Silicone vs Leather iPhone 6 case comparison review will help you decide. Apple’s leather case costs £49 and comes in black, red, soft pink, olive brown and midnight blue among other colours. Another real leather wallet case for iPhone 6 Plus and iPhone 6s Plus, this one comes from Casemade. Usually, you expect real leather cases to be seriously expensive, but this Italian Cowhide Leather Wallet is a steal at £19.90/£24.90 – though you can get it for as low as £15.90 in the UK or $19.90 in the US when you buy directly from Casemade. There’s also an option in tan at the same price ( US visitors can click here). A plastic insert clamps your 6 Plus firmly and the case smells wonderful. A magnetic clasp holds it shut, and a camera cutout means you can take photos and videos without removing your phone from the case. There’s space inside for three credit cards. If you want to keep the front and rear of your iPhone uncovered, a bumper could be the answer. It’s a shame to hide those new curved edges, but Proporta’s bumper comes in black ( £1.69/ $8.99) or white ( £4.99/$8.99). Simple and fairly cheap! For those who don’t want frills, this dirt-cheap and somewhat understated shell adds grippy sides. Job done. When extra-tough protection is required, there’s always Otterbox. The Symmetry series comes in black or glacier white in the UK, and black and blue in the US. Prices start at £34.99/$34.99. This stylish, functional iPhone 6 Plus case has card slots on the inside cover, which fastens shut magnetically. It’s made with faux leather and has a microfiber lining on the inside to protect the screen from scratches. The sides are covered all the way around the iPhone 6 Plus, but there are cutouts for all of the ports and buttons you need.  Marie is Editor in Chief of Tech Advisor and Macworld.
